This is the Michigan Metal Works upper and lower arm set for the 67-72 or 73-87 C-10/C20/C30 Trucks using the stock cross member.  This arm set, is designed to be used with the OEM cross member in traditional/normal or "Z'd" frames.  The arms are produced from .750 and .500 plate steel, CNC water jet cut for a very precise fit each time.  The lower arms are setup for any dual convoluted air bag, and come with shock mounts.  We are offering these arms in 2 different versions, Budget and Jeebus Joint, as well as having many different options to fit your exact needs, starting at 899$ complete!  Both sets will narrow your track width, and move your wheel base forward.  This goes without saying, but we will say it anyways.  When you install narrowed track width control arms, you need to also narrow the track width of your steering to get a proper alignment. Most alignment shops will do this for you, or its as simple as taking 1/2" off of each tie rod end to accomidate the narrower track width.

Due to the tolerances on the lower control arm, all lower cross shafts come raw metal..  Powder coating the lower x-shaft added to much bulk to the unit, and we were not able to install it correctly, and it would bind.  They now are ALL shipped in RAW metal form.  Once installed on the truck, they can be painted to match your frame.  

The Budget Arm set will consist of:

  • Upper Arms, designed to be used with 73-87 OEM style K6184 X-shafts
  • -Upper control arm bushings
  • -Moog upper ball joints (73-87
  • Lower Arms, Designed to bolt directly to the stock frame
  • -Lower Moog Ball Joints (73-87)
  • -Lower bag mounts
  • -Lower shock tabs (must be requested, not standard)
  • -CNC turned lower x-shafts
  • -Arm Set tested up to a 30" OD Tire size

Adding Powder coat, or custom cross shafts to the budget set is available in the drop down menu to the side, All raw metal, budget items are shipped un assembled.

 

The Jeebus Joint Arm Set will consist of:

  • Jeebus Joint upper arms, designed to be used with OEM style K6184 X-Shafts
  • -Upper control arm bushings
  • -CNC machined and fully serviceable Jeebus Joints to replace the ball joints, and gain 10 degrees extra travel.
  • Lower Arms, Designed to bolt to stock frames
  • -Lower Moog Ball joints
  • -Lower bag mounts
  • -Lower shock mounts
  • -CNC Turned lower x-shafts 
  • -Arm set tested up to a 30" OD tire size
  • Adding  Upper x-shafts and powder coat is available to the menu on the side.  These arm sets are designed on stock OEM frames.  We DO NOT test these on Z cut frames, or trimmed cross members, or any other modifications to the frame clip.  We cannot anticipate the hundreds of different ways people go about laying these trucks out.  We have customers who have installed these on stock frames with great results, as well as on Z cut frame.  It is your job as a customer, who is very heavily modifying your vehicle to be responsible for the install of the product.   All arm versions are produced for the 73-87 K6184 cross shaft, since it is the only one available at parts stores, and will still bolt to the 67-72 frames, as well as C20 and C30 Trucks.  Using the factory K Series cross shaft is not an option as it DOES NOT use a polyurethane bushing, and lets face it, who wants a metal on metal suspension pivot joint.  

When choosing Dodger Series arms, and X-Shafts you will recieve Premier OEM style Cross shafts, due to the fact that Dodge series arms have to work around the stock parameters on the C10 frame.  They will come fully installed and ready to bolt onto the truck.  Dodger Series arm info located here:  http://michiganmetalworks.com/store/index.php?route=product/product&path=60_65&product_id=79

Control arms ordered powder coated, will arrive FULLLY ASSEMBLED ready for installation.  Raw Metal control arms will arrive with ONLY the Jeebus Joint installed completely  but with no other bushings installed, so that you can coat them prior to assembly with your choice of paint or powder, and then fully assemble, it may be ncessary to ream your spindle slightly depending on spindle type, it is usually less then 1/4" worth of ream that is needed, castings varry from brand.   Please make sure you use the proper lubrication on the inside AND outside of the bushing when installing, for a long squeek free life.
