These are the Michigan Metal Works design for the 2WD GM 355 Trucks. Each arm is CNC cut from .500 plate steel, and fully welded in a jig for a precise fit each time. This single piece flat plate arms will use a K6292 upper ball joint. I chose to build our arm around this ball joint because it is a tried and tested quality ball joint. the k6292 ball joint is different from the stock OEM 355 ball joint in a couple ways. The stock 355 ball joints are a ball in a socket, with unrestricted directional travel, meaning they can move, front to back, left to right and any angle in between. The k6292 is a ball in socket, slotted ball joint. Meaning, the same ball is pressed into the socket, but it has a slot it travels within and can only travel within the confines of that slot. In the product deign this poses a few problems, I wont get into the technical info of the problem but in order to use a slotted ball joint in an application of a multi-directional ball joint, you need to compensate with your arm design, which we have done here.

These arms will be available in 3 lengths. The first length will be for bagged vehicles, and they will be 3/8 of an inch longer than stock. The second length will be for static dropped trucks, they will be 1/4" longer than stock. The last length will be stock length, these are for customers that all ready have other modifications to their truck to correct the camber, but want custom arms. These dimensions are what we have found to work the best on these trucks. If i have learned anything from the 355 series of truck.  As you can see we included some mounting holes for the stock brake line that runs in this location.

Included in the control arm kit is the following

• (2) K6292 Upper Ball joints.
• (8) Poly Bushings
• (4) Bolt Sleeves

As of 1-1-16 The budget series arms WILL NOT have brake line mounts cut into them.  Due to varrying upper brake line mounting locations from vehicle to vehicle, we no longer offer this feature.
